Throughout the year, I welcome a number of visitor groups to the European Parliament, where they have the opportunity to learn about the workings of the Parliament, EU institutions and about my own work as their MEP. In 2017, I hosted a group of women entrepreneurs in March and a group of constituents from different parts of Ireland South in June. In the past I have also welcomed groups such as a delegation of Irish farmers, Fine Gael councillors and TDs, Transition Year groups, and groups from Comhairle na nÓg to name but a few. It is very rewarding to see the high level of interest and engagement from my constituents and I thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with both groups.
