Seán Kelly MEP and Leader of the Fine Gael Delegation in the European Parliament met with Chambers Ireland representatives in Brussels this week to discuss Brexit and other issues.
Concern for the trading impact Brexit may have on Ireland topped the agenda of the meeting between the 16 Chambers representatives, Mr Kelly and other Irish MEPs. Other topics included regional development and taxation policy.
While the rate of progress in Brexit talks has been disappointing so far as uncertainty is not helpful for Irish business, Mr Kelly assured the visitors that Irish concerns were deeply understood and to the fore of the EU27’s priorities in the current negotiations.
