Sean Kelly MEP, the Leader of the Fine Gael delegation in the European Parliament, will press EU leaders to introduce a number of measures to protect the agri-food sector from any negative impact in the wake of Russian import restrictions, during the Parliament’s plenary session in Strasbourg next week.

Irish children should begin learning a third language at primary school, according to Sean Kelly MEP.

“All EU citizens will have the right to a basic bank account, regardless of where they live or their financial situation, thanks to new EU rules,” Sean Kelly MEP said today.

Having secured membership of the European Parliament’s International Trade Committee, Sean Kelly MEP will be focused on crucial ongoing trade talks during the new mandate.

Over 4,000 Irish third level students took advantage of the EU Erasmus study abroad programme last year, according to Sean Kelly MEP who wants more young people to take up the opportunity.
